We offer Train the Trainer sessions to current or potential trainers who know their subject but have little experience of training.

You will benefit from seeing your own strengths and development areas by becoming involved in activities including simulating a training session and receiving feedback (the sessions are filmed for maximum feedback)

Follow a format that is flexible: in addition to the topics below, we can also answer requests on particular topics such as handling stress, managing time, adapting to cultural differences

A Train the Trainer session is divided into two parts:

Part 1 - Planning and preparing a training course:

  • Human motivation
  • Learning styles
  • The training objectives and key messages

Part 2 - Planning and preparing a training course:

  • Organising training materials
  • Planning time, sequence, space, equipment, group size
  • Being confident and assertive
  • Getting the audience involved
  • Using your voice and language
  • Understanding body language: your own and the audience’s
  • Handling audience questions and difficult participants
