Organised by Astech Paris Region and Proximum Group, ASD Days is the one to one international event dedicated to Aeronautics, Space, Defence and Drones. AirBusiness Academy has attended for many years running and this year, Business Development Manager, Nathan Sananès, will represent the company at this prestigious event.
As a fair and congress ASD Days offers a great opportunity for networking but it is primarily the targeted BtoB meetings that are arranged by the organisers that are of most value. ASD Days aims to give a concrete answer to project leaders / buyers from large groups and SMEs looking for innovative solutions and with this in mind, AirBusiness Academy is greatly looking forward to showcasing our new training in Innovation and Collaborative Work.
The 2017 edition is the 7th of its kind and promises to unite over 1,000 participants from approximately 50 countries with an average of 8,000 business meetings organised. Official partners of the event include Airbus, Dassault Aviation and Safran.
Under the blue skies and 30° heat in Paris, our Business Development team braved the grounds of Le Bourget once again.
With over 2300 exhibitors in the halls and chalets, the event really is the top location to get in touch with customers, old and new. Stephan and Nathan had the objective of reaching out to suppliers in order to inform, not only of our 'Be An Airbus Supplier' training but also our complete catalogue dedicated to suppliers. This portfolio includes training areas of procurement, supply chain management, regulations and quality and lean. Our new domain of "Innovation & Collaborative Work" also turned a few heads with many companies specifically interested in our Agile Innovation training.
Over the course of two days, the team introduced AirBusiness Academy to 26 companies, held B-to-B meetings with 48 company representatives from all over the world and identified a substantial number of opportunities for the future.
One of the major supplier events in Canada and North America, Aeromart will welcome over 1300 participants from 28 countries.
Our business development manager Nathan Sananes will be present at the event taking place from 4 - 6th April 2017. Nathan will be joined by Holger Heckel, associate trainer for AirBusiness Academy, who has more than 20 years of consulting experience with a focus on Business Process Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management as well as Lean Management.
Holger will deliver a workshop entitled "Get Ahead in the Aerospace Race – Have you got what it takes?" to a public of over 60 representatives from companies with the aerospace suppy chain.

AirBusiness Academy will attend several events in 2017 where you can meet our Business Development managers either at a dedicated stand or during one of the pre-organised B2B meeting slots. The team consisting of Stephan, Sabine, Nathan and Sarah will be on hand to answer your questions on our portfolio of in-house, customised training and also our open courses taking place in different locations in 2017.
Newest member of the Business Development team, Mr. Nathan Sananes will attend our first event of 2017. Taking place in Lyon on the 2nd February, AEROTECH will host over 4,000 professional meetings in just one day. Focusing on Innovation, the event will welcome the main stakeholders and suppliers of the aerospace industry mainly in France but also with some European and International presence. Along with conferences animated by Innovation, Research and Development experts of the larger groups, technological workshops such as smart manufacturing or 3D printing will also be offered to participants looking to keep abreast of the latest developments, future needs and potential strategies.
Later in the year, we hope to attend the following events which should allow us to meet our full range of customers from suppliers, MROs, Airlines, Lessors and of course other Airbus subsidiaries and joint ventures.

On 29th April 2016 Dr Khalid A.N. Al Ohaly, President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) and French Arabian Business School based in Bahrain and Didier Penabayre, Managing Director of AirBusiness Academy, an Airbus Group company, signed an MoU to develop and deploy a new MBA track specialised in Aviation Management to be offered by the French Arabian Business School in Bahrain.
The Arabian Gulf University is a public higher education Institution owned, financed, and managed by GCC ministers of Higher Education. The French Arabian Business School is part of AGU graduate studies and was established in cooperation with the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The MoU signing ceremony took place at AirBusiness Academy and Airbus SAS in Toulouse, France.
The MoU represents the integration of AirBusiness Academy into the existing partnership between the Arabian Gulf University/ French Arabian Business School and ESSEC Business School who have already jointly developed and delivered successful MBA programmes in the past years.
Now the skies have cleared for the new MBA track supporting individual career development as well as the specific needs of the GCC aviation sector in order to meet increasing challenges and global competition in the region. Record growth of air travel in the region coupled with the steady expansion of far-reaching global airline networks has created new challenges for Gulf Council Countries airlines, airports and aviation authorities
The MBA will represent a unique combination of expertise and will permit MBA students to evolve in a truly international environment.
The new MBA track will examine essentials, such as Airline Strategy and Business Planning, Aviation Organisations and HR Management, Aviation and Aircraft Finance, Flight Operations and Crew Management as well as Safety Management Systems in Aviation.
It provides students the capabilities to address today's aviation challenges. It will be designed to emphasise the application of modern management concepts, methods, and tools within an aviation context.
AirBusiness Academy is physically relocating to the newly constructed Airbus Group Leadership University campus situated at 10 rue Franz Joseph Strauss, 31700 Blagnac.
The move will take place on 25th August 2016.
Managers from across the Group will receive all their Leadership and managerial training at the University campus.
