The newest member of faculty, Matthieu Poirson is specialised in Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering, having also worked in Avation Safety. Joining us as Senior Consultant, he carries eleven years experience in airlines, with strong knowledge in Airbus aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul.
Matthieu’s vision for aviation management revolves around digitalisation, kinesthetic learning and team work. He believes that knowledge is always better coming from the action and/or the group. Matthieu trains Maintenance Repair and Overhaul, making these sessions as close as possible to real industrial life: exciting, stimulating and rewarding. He also does his best to help participants in their cost reduction strategies and performance improvement. To reach this objective, he uses his airline experience as a basis to understand customer's needs.
Matthieu began his career with Airfrance as Operational Punctuality Analyst, in charge of the improvement of operational performance concerning maintenance, crews and regional airlines.
Matthieu then joined Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance, becoming Technical Project Manager for Air France A330/A340 Fleet, working closely with Airbus on various technical subjects, based on cost killing and dispatch reliability.
After this, he became Production Engineering and Logistics Manager, dealing with AOG and methods issues for Airfrance Airbus Single Aisle fleet. Two years later, he became Head of Maintenance C Checks in the Airbus Single Aisle facility; steering maintenance checks, managing production teams, working specifically in halving C checks turn-around time.
